January has been a very fast and exciting month at Eddy Travels.

HIGHLIGHTS
MongoDB Startup Accelerator
Eddy Travels has been accepted to the MongoDB Startup Accelerator programme!
With that, we’ll get access to MongoDB Atlas for 12 months, receive additional technical support from MongoDB for developing our products, get introductions to the MongoDB’s network, and receive additional marketing support and amplification.

Eddy Travels Launch Party:
Last night we had a wonderful launch party event here in Vilnius. We invited our friends, community members, partners, and investors to join and celebrate the official launch of the Eddy Travels AI assistant.
Seeing so many of our friends and supporters in one place, we knew that we’re on the right path to success!
P.S. Still buzzing from all the excitement, our team is packing our suitcases today and preparing for a long and very, VERY important trip. We’ll share more on that in just a few days. *wink*

Find Flights To “Anywhere”
Right from the start, we knew that providing travel ideas will be a huge part of Eddy Travels. We noticed that a lot of our initial users were trying to search for flights to “anywhere”, so we added a new feature that does exactly that and more!
Instead of visiting numerous different websites, you can now send a simple message, like “flights from London to Toronto next month” to Eddy Travels, and our AI-powered chatbot will give you some great suggestions in a matter of seconds.
In the future, you’ll be able to find travel ideas even more granularly, filtering the trips by different regions, countries, and even duration by days.
Say Hello to Voice-Based Search
A brand new feature that we couldn’t be any more excited about!
Now, you can plan your trip on Facebook Messenger not only by sending text but also voice messages.
Try it today:
Open Eddy Travels on Messenger and start a new conversation;
Click and hold the button with the microphone icon and say something like "flights from Vilnius to anywhere next month"
Enjoy the results and let us know what you think!
Initial testers were highly impressed:
DEVELOPMENT
This month, our developers were the busiest with launching the “flights to anywhere” and voice-based search features.
Still, we released many other improvements of our chatbot:
Improved the speed of hotel and flight search results;
Improved the understanding of flight and hotel booking phrases;
Fixed the issue of “March” being unrecognized as a date option because of a location with the same name;
Improved the experience of flexible dates, e.g. removing flights that depart and return on the same day;
Implemented additional event and referral tracking;
Updated the flight search flow and updated the flight cards;
Resolved other small bugs and issues.
We’re already working on some brand new features related to car hire and insurance, and you’ll hear more on that very soon.
CONCLUSION
As you can tell, we had a very exciting start of the year and it doesn’t even include the biggest news yet… which we’ll share with you next week!
